A mosquito in Tanzania remains critically ill today after being infected by Cheryl Cole last month.

The insect is believed to have contracted the illness after a recent visit from the X Factor judge with “boyfriend” and ‘Dancing With The Stars’ star Derek Hough. Insect deaths from western celebrities has more than doubled in Africa over the past 5 years, mainly due to the quest for more and more exotic holiday ventures and the pretence of third world humanitarian work.

The mosquito was admitted to hospital last weekend suffering from insecurity and in desperate need of attention. Doctors said it was ‘in a bad way,’ coming into the hospital and believe that being in close proximity to a small piece of shit throughout the last 4 years didn’t help the creature either.

With the future looking bleak for the insect, attention now turns to the visits of such celebrity visits to Africa and the damage it is doing to the wildlife, environment and culture there.
